attend the parade

(and party)

The parade begins at 1 pm at FAVE and ends around 1:30/1:45 at The Imperial.

The party starts at The Imperial right after the parade and runs until dark.

While we have food, drink, and other vendors selling at the after party, watching the parade and attending the after party is always free.

The largest spectator crowds usually congregate around Harmony Park, but we encourage you to find a spot anywhere along the parade route (at right). Bring camp chairs or picnic blankets, and get ready to catch throws!

It’s free!

Pro tips

Want to do more than attend?

Become a Supporter

We rely on the generous support of our neighbors and sponsors to bring Mardi Gras magic to Decatur and to raise funds for Decatur Education Foundation. This year we are encouraging families to show their support by becoming a Lagniappe Family Supporter. Lagniappe (lan-yap) is a creole word meaning a small gift or a little something extra.

When you become a family supporter you will receive this year’s parade shirt, a supporter yard sign, and this year’s parade throw.
